I am pro-neurodiversity, and what I mean by this is that in the same way that there are no "good" or "bad" skin colors, there are also no "good" or "bad" brains. I do not have autism myself, but I do have ADHD, and I have heard far too frequently things that suggest my brain wasn't normal, whether it was comments that suggested that my ADHD was not enough as it was and that I needed to be more neurotypical, or that humans weren't designed by God to live and function this way. These narratives aren't common just to ADHDers. They are endured by wonderful people on the Autism Spectrum, beautiful people with Tourettes, fabulous dyslexics, and any other person that has a natural variance in their brain. Yes our neurodiversity can often times come with disabilities, but that doesn't mean that we are wrong or broken. We are different, and difference is beautiful. This page is dedicated to anyone with any degree of neurodiversity, any flavor of divergence, whether diagnosed formally or experienced by your inner wisdom, I salute you and all you have been through and honor you with this page in the hopes that I can remind you that the world is beautiful, and having your unique brain in it makes the world a more special place.
