My quest to finding the Blue Jay

Blue Jay

I know it may sound crazy to the average reader, but I have never encountered a Blue Jay before. I live in the western United States, specifically in a spot where Blue Jays aren't native, and yet I have encountered bird much harder to find than that of the elusive Blue Jay. The California Condor, for example, is the rarest species in North America, with there being an estimated population of 344 total in the wild as of 2024, and yet I have seen this bird, but not the Blue Jay, who's population is estimated around 17 million. Still, enjoy these pictures of the birds I have found along the way, and maybe one day I'll see that blue crested dinosaur passing by.
