All Genders are Welcome

I don't experience gender dysphoria, nor do I intend on transitioning, so why should I care about trans people and their rights? Because it is right, decent, and above all it is kind. Transgender folks are among one of the most vulnerable populations on the planet to experience bullying, abuse, stigma, lack of medical care, housing insecurity, and mental health issues. The world was built by cisgender folks for cisgender folks, and when we live in a world that is made for one type of person at the expense of another, we reduce our own humanity, and dehumanize those we target. For this reason, I wanted there to be a page that brought attention to trans people and to sprinkle a little more positivity on the internet. Of every trans person I have met, they are the most resilient lot I have ever known, because they go through things daily that most cis folks can never directly understand. They are everywhere throughout history, with gender variance being recorded in most pre-colonial countries across the planet. Most importantly, they remind us of our family values, because they are our family, and they all have value. So next time you see a trans person, respect their pronouns, and treat them with kindness. They deserve all of our collective kindness.
